Dyslexic children are physically normal kids. It is just that they have problems in reading text. If your child has several signs of reading problems, or if you have a family history of dyslexia, you may want to have your child checked for the problem .Both parents and teachers must be cooperative to give information about a child’s progress to a doctor who will diagnose dyslexia. Your child will undergo a series of tests. Once confirmed, a lot can be done to help the child in his learning process.
If your child is having dyslexia , it does not mean his /her learning ability is below average. With accurate diagnosis and appropriate help, a dyslexic person can live a rewarding life and enjoy a successful career. Some dyslexics can be artistically gifted ; Tom Cruise, Cher, Picasso, Steven Spielberg…….Some rich and famous ; Richard Branson, Muhammad Ali, John F. Kennedy, Sir Winston Churchill…..and the father of telephone too, Alexander Graham Bell.
